The Red Meat Memorandum of Understanding was signed more than 20 years ago and from Sheep Producers Australia’s point of view, it is timely to be reviewing the national industry’s advocacy governance arrangements to ensure they are the right fit for the future.
SPA, through the Red Meat Advisory Council, is part of the taskforce reviewing the MoU, and has made a submission in response to the Green Paper. The SPA Board believes it is critical the MoU captures bold visionary initiatives, underpinned by the Meat Industry Strategic Plan, which industry can support.
