The Sheep Producers Australia Leadersheep Forum is the place to be to interact and exchange ideas with other industry leaders and emerging leaders.
SPA has brought some of the best speakers together from across the globe to develop this vibrant and interactive program. Take your leadership to the next level as we hone two of the most important skills, both presented in an agricultural context.
The forum will officially launch the Sheep Producers Australia Leadersheep Network and outline the range of opportunities and professional development on offer.
Prepare to learn more about the sheep industry, network, laugh, be challenged and see how your future leadership journey may unfold. You’ll also meet one of the most famous farmers on Twitter … all the way from the UK, The Shepherd – James Rebanks.
Be the first to hear the LambEx 2018 Young Guns finalists, Australia’s next generation of lamb leaders, before the winners are announced at LambEx.
The event is FREE and all are welcome to attend.
The Leadersheep Forum is proudly hosted by Sheep Producers Australia, with the support of the Department for Agriculture and Water Resources and Meat & Livestock Australia.

James Rebanks is a shepherd who runs a family-owned farm in the eastern Lake District in Northern England, in the same valleys and fells that his family has farmed for over 600 years. He still farms Herdwick sheep, while also running a consultancy based at his farm.
As @herdyshepherd1 he tweets about his farm and his flock’s daily life, and has over 100,000 followers.
He is the author of the acclaimed memoir, THE SHEPHERD’S LIFE, a Sunday Times #1, and New York Times bestseller, which has been translated into 18 languages – not bad given Rebanks left school at 15, barely able to write. After dropping out of school James later graduated from Oxford University. James now advises Unesco on how to manage growing tourism in developing countries.

What is the Leadersheep Network?
The Sheep Producers Australia Leadersheep Network connects sheep producers and people working in the industry who share the goal of driving industry growth and success.
To ensure a strong future, SPA is investing in the development of its current and future leaders, building the capability, capacity and confidence of the industry.
The Leadersheep Network will keep you informed about key industry issues and give you the opportunity to provide ideas and feedback. It will enable members to be connected to the industry and to each other and to access professional development and mentoring opportunities.
The Leadersheep Network offers another way to engage with Sheep Producers Australia to influence and shape the future of the sheep industry. It’s your opportunity to contribute for the good of the entire industry, by providing a collective voice to decision-makers.
